I think it would be awesome to have a thread for each EEE where chapters that have done an EEE can post their tips and tricks and chapters that are interested in an EEE can ask questions and get ideas.
So here is the thread for the Refugess Reproductive Lives & Deaths EEE.
About the Event:
Refugees’ Reproductive Lives & Deaths draws attention to the obstacles faced by pregnant women who have been displaced from their homes due to conflict or natural disaster. Specifically—lack of sanitary conditions, lack of reproductive health care, and lack of trained birthing assistance.
Our goal was $200, but we ended up raising nearly $700, and we think four things really contributed to our success:
Tips and Tricks:
Advertise, advertise, advertise—we started flyering two weeks in advance.
Table over the course of a couple days—you will get more students and professors if you give them more options to donate!
Treats!—attract attention by offering treats. We had delicious home-baked goodies, but check your school’s regs regarding food.
We had a giant thermometer with our goal ($200) painted on it. We filled it in a little, um, slow, to encourage people to keep giving!
